In addition, another option for texlaxing is to mix your relaxer with oil in order to weaken it so that it doesn't process your hair as straight. Prepooing before relaxing will give you similar results. Basically, the oil creates a barrier between your hair and the relaxer slowing down the process so that it takes longer for the relaxer to straighten your hair.

I don't recommend texlaxing immediately after removing braids or a weave because your scalp will most likely be sensitive from all the pulling and is likely to burn. I usually, wash and condition my hair after taking out braids, then wait a week before texlaxing.lushstrandshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06703835957416423278noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3790085159362769098.post-36312757862002517652013-06-03T19:27:54.593-07:002013-06-03T19:27:54.593-07:00It depends on a range of things. I leave it in for 20mins so I DON’T get bone straight hair.

You should try and pre poo on every wash day if u have the spare 30 minutes or so. I am NOT a fan of over night pre pooing so I don’t do that. But I do pre poo with coconut oil for 30mins using heat before I wash and Deep condition.
Feyinoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3790085159362769098.post-12548735987990931752013-06-03T00:10:09.999-07:002013-06-03T00:10:09.999-07:00Same here.
